This change would add support for the first non Metatrader broker. This broker would have to support a trading API so it can't be just anyone. However, we have a few in mind and are communicating with them to identify the best broker with a solid focus on trading APIs that do not punish or charge the customers a commission simply for trading over the API.
How you currently trade stocks with VisionKeys
Currently VisionKeys works directly with Metatrader 4 & 5. If your broker has stocks available for trading, you're able to trade just as you would anything else. The biggest issue for users is there are not vast options when stocks are available.
How you would trade stocks after this change
After this change you would have a place in settings to input your broker ID and a key provided by your broker. On the start of VisionKeys if it detects you're not using Metatrader it will connect with a configured broker (or selected) for all info, status, and trade requests.
Possible Limitations
The limitations will be dependent on what can be achieved through the trading API of the broker. This is something we will not be aware of until we have a broker selection and begin development.
