For every trade action you submit we obtain a result from Metatrader. If an error or failure occurs you will receive an error message or code directly on the key. These are errors from either Metatrader or your broker providing information on why the action failed. You can utilize the following links to help translate the cause.
In many cases VisionKeys will attempt to translate the error codes for your and display a short message on the keys. If this is not the case, you will receive an error code instead.
Click here to identify the description of each error code.
If you're having trouble understanding any of the messages, please feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance.
Most Common Errors
The most common error is "Invalid Stops". This means that either the Stop Loss, Trailing Stop, or Take Profit is too tight for the particular symbol & volume you're attempting to trade. Please double check your settings and make the adjustments as needed.
Anoter common error is "Invalid Price". This occurs if your targets aren't valid (Maybe mixed up a limit vs stop order if it's a pending order), or if they are simply out of range. An out of range example would be applying a $100 target on a sub $1 crypto security with no leverage, and a small volume. In these cases a good troubleshooting step is to open a market order under a demo account for the same symbol & volume. You can then drag your SL & TP targets on the Metatrader chart to visually see the profit/loss by hover your mouse over each SL/TP line. Notice how little profit is obtainable based on our order below?
